Readulator is built around a simple idea: your saved articles, recipes, media lists, images, and highlights are yours. Almost everything the app does happens on your device.

What stays on your device

Everything you capture — articles, recipes, media items, images, tags, highlights, and reading progress — is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no copy of your library on our servers. Summaries and text recognition are performed on-device using Apple's frameworks; your content is not sent to us or to any third-party AI service.

What the app sends to our servers

Readulator talks to servers we operate (readulator.com) for three narrow purposes:

• Anonymous usage statistics. When you save a link, the app reports the URL to our stats service so we can see which sites people capture from in aggregate (for example, to prioritize fixing sites that don't extract cleanly). These reports carry a random identifier that is not connected to your name, email, or any account, and we don't use them to build a profile of you.
• Cross-device sync (optional). If you enable sync / the browser extension, the app creates a random sync identifier and registers an Apple push token so a page you save in your browser can appear on your phone. The URLs you submit through this channel are stored until your device picks them up. The identifier is random — it identifies an installation, not a person.
• Beta feedback (beta builds only). If you use a beta build and submit a "this page didn't capture correctly" report, we receive the URL you reported, your comments, and the diagnostic details you chose to include. Again, not tied to you or an account, just an installation identifier.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, no fingerprinting.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties.
• We don't link anything we receive to your identity.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links (for example, to books or music) may include an affiliate tag, and Readulator may earn a commission on purchases made through them. This doesn't change what you pay and doesn't involve sharing any personal information with the merchant.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete All Saved Data removes everything the app stores on your device. Because captured content never leaves your device, that's the whole library. To remove a sync identifier and its pending submissions from our servers, just tap the "Reset Sync" button in Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
