Getting the Readulator beta

Readulator starts life as a beta, which means you get it through something called TestFlight instead of the regular App Store. If you've never heard of TestFlight, this page is for you. It takes about two minutes and you only do it once.

Before you start: this beta requires Apple's iOS 27 beta — it will not work on iOS 26. TestFlight will still let you install Readulator on iOS 26, but the app won't run.

To get the beta OS: on your iPhone, go to Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates, and enroll in the iOS 27 beta (you may first need to enroll your Apple Account at beta.apple.com). You'll also need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence — iPhone 15 Pro or newer.

TestFlight is Apple's own app for trying apps before they officially launch. It's free, it's made by Apple, and it comes from the same App Store you already use. This is the icon to look for.

The steps.

Put TestFlight on your iPhone. It installs like any other app.
Get TestFlight on the App Store
Tap the invite button below, on your iPhone. It opens TestFlight and offers you the Readulator beta.
TestFlight opens and offers you Readulator. Tap Accept, then Install. That's the whole ceremony.
Share something to it. Open any article in Safari, tap share, tap Readulator. From then on it sits in your share sheet like it was always there, and updates arrive on their own through TestFlight.

Fair questions.

Is this safe?: Yes. TestFlight is built and run by Apple, and every beta version goes through Apple's review before it reaches you. You are not installing anything from the side of the road.
Does it cost anything?: No. TestFlight is free and the beta is free. Pricing for the eventual App Store version hasn't been set yet; beta testers will hear it first.
What do I need?: An iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer), running Apple's iOS 27 beta — it will not work on iOS 26. Check Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates to enroll.
What's different about a beta?: It's a work in progress: you may see rough edges, and some corners of Settings exist mainly to help us debug. Everything you save still lives on your phone, same as the finished app.
Will my saved articles survive the beta?: Yes, with one honest caveat: when Readulator graduates from TestFlight to the App Store, Apple treats it as a separate install, so the app will give you a one-button way to carry everything across. As a belt-and-suspenders option, Settings can also export all your saved links as text at any time.
How do I report something weird?: Take a screenshot. Your iPhone will offer to send it as beta feedback, and it lands on our desk. There's also a feedback button inside the app's settings.
Will I need TestFlight forever?: No. Once Readulator graduates to the App Store you'll switch to the regular version and can delete TestFlight if you like.
